Hello! My name is Ana, and I am passionate about helping students of all ages succeed in their learning. I hold a B.A. in Psychology and a Master of Business Administration (MBA), and my academic background has given me a strong understanding of how people think, process information, and develop new skills. I have over a year of tutoring experience in Spanish, Math, and English, and I have worked with a wide range of learners—including elementary students building their foundation, high schoolers preparing for success, and adults in their 50s continuing their education. In addition, I served as a Teaching Assistant for Business Ethics at my university, where I provided in-person support to college students and gained experience guiding larger groups. These combined roles have allowed me to develop flexibility in my teaching style and the ability to meet students where they are, whether in a classroom or one-on-one online.
When I tutor, my approach is to create a supportive and structured environment that builds confidence and encourages progress. I adapt my lessons to each student’s learning style, breaking down difficult concepts into manageable steps while keeping sessions engaging and interactive. I especially enjoy finding creative ways to make material relatable, whether through real-world examples, visual aids, or step-by-step practice. My goal is always for students to walk away not only understanding the material but also feeling proud of what they have accomplished. I also have experience working with neurodiverse learners, including students with ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder, and I bring patience, structure, and individualized strategies to support their success. No matter the subject or the age group, I strive to help each student discover their potential and achieve their goals.
