Hi! I'm Dr. Danna, a space scientist focusing on Astrochemistry. I received my Bachelors of Science in chemistry (ACS accredited) and a minor in astronomy, my Master's of Science in chemical science, and my PhD in astronomy with a focus in Astrochemistry. After my PhD, I did my postdoctorate at NASA and am now a full-time Astrochemist.
When I was a student, I always had to teach myself outside the classroom to achieve stellar grades because I had difficulty focusing in class (I am neurodivergent). Also, I found that teachers never fully explained concepts, and I am someone who needs all the details to understand something well. Therefore when I am tutoring you, you will get all the details (that you would like) explained to you so that a complicated topic will be so easily understood, like your ABCs!
I have tutored 100+ students combined in General Chemistry I and II and Physical Chemistry II at universities. I have also tutored local students in other related topics, such as AP Chemistry, Algebra I and Algebra II. I am also a great tutor with K-12 students who struggle with chemistry and math, as I completely understand the challenges of learning these topics in the classroom setting.
Because I have successfully secured prestigious positions, such as a PhD in the top Astrochemistry program in the world, and a Postdoctorate at NASA, I also help students with their applications to higher education programs.
Every student is different and has different needs for acquiring information. I am always open to learning more about what benefits the student the most. I am easily reachable, and please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions.
