I throughly enjoyed teaching English for 11 years with my students. I provided a learning environment where instruction was a shared and meaningful exchange of knowledge between us. This was also the same way I assisted my educationally challenged students for a number of years having conversations with the student, their parents, teachers, the school psychologist, and administration to provide an enriched learning environment. If accommodations were needed, these were in place and monitored throughout the students educational career.
Each day going to work, whether it was the traditional classroom setting or individual/small group tutoring sessions, I wear a button on my shirt that read, Teachers can open the doors to learning you just need to step through. I, will be there on the other side so we can learn together.
