Hi, I’m Yasmeen! I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry and a Doctorate of Pharmacy Degree with High Honors. I continued on by getting a Masters Degree in Health System Administration at University of North Carolina Chapel Hill and a teaching certificate at High Point University while completing my pharmacy residency. I dedicate many of these accomplishments to my amazing teachers who shared their passions with me that led me down this path. If it wasn’t for them, I wouldn’t have had a strong foundation in the subjects I needed to succeed in college. I want to be able to provide these same opportunities to future students that may find some of these subjects more difficult by simplifying to the level that they can comprehend these topics. I believe that a strong foundation will help you thrive in the subject, and is the key to how I approach teaching. I will be sure to dedicate all the time needed to teach and understand concepts, build fun ways to learn the information you need, and get plenty of practice to build your confidence in the topic.
I have have over 10 years of experience tutoring students and peers from high school to college level courses through the University of Texas at Austin and at High Point University in North Carolina to help people excel in the topics they once thought were difficult to grasp. This included subjects like Algebra 1 & 2, Chemistry, PreCalculus, Calculus 1& 2, General Chemistry 1 & 2, Organic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, and many more. I have learned to adjust my teaching style to fit what is best for the student. I will be open to any additional feedback as well to enhance your learning experience. I’m here for you.
