I also give students a chance to explain it back to me in a way that makes sense to them because being able to teach something is an amazing way to strengthen your understanding of the topic.
Professionally, I started out in the Game Development Industry with an internship. I transitioned into an I.T role where I focused on developing internal Software tools to use for all departments at the company. Most recently, I got back into the Game Development industry for Browser-based HTML5 Games. Additionally, I've worked on countless freelance projects in between jobs.
I find that being self-taught is a huge strength in teaching others as I've had to find creative ways to learn topics in programming, and complete major projects as I worked my way through my career.
