Bio

I am a senior majoring in Piano Performance and History and minoring in Percussion at Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas. I have experience in tutoring in mathematics and music subjects since 1999. I have experience teaching piano since 1999 as well.

In mathematics, I can tutor Elementary through High School Mathematics except for Algebra II. I can tutor College Algebra, and Calculus I at the collegiate level.

In music, I can tutor piano, music theory, music history, sight...

I have studied piano formally since 1987. In that time, I have won several piano competitions. I am formally studying piano performance at Angelo State University. I have recently won in 2020 the Angelo State University Concerto Competition as well as given a lecture recital over the Pathetique by Beethoven this past spring. I am currently preparing for my junior recital to be given at Angelo State University. I have taught piano to various students and in various contexts since 1999. I am currently employed as the pianist for St. Mark’s Presbyterian Church in San Angelo, Tx, as a piano instructor at Emmanuel School of Fine Arts here in San Angelo, I substitute for pianist/organists at their churches when needed, I am the accompany the Glen Middle School Choirs as well as accompany TLCA and Lakeview High Schools for contest, as well as play for weddings, funerals, and other opportunities as they arise.
Sight Singing

Sight Singing

I have studied voice for 36 years. I have sung in various choirs and churches throughout the years, participated in several voice contests, and have had many times I have had to utilize sight singing. I have also taken Aural Skills I-IV at Angelo State University which had a sight singing component through all four courses. I have made A’s in all four courses.
