I also hold a master’s degree in Physics from the University of Texas at Dallas and a bachelor’s degree in Physics from Texas A&M University, which has helped me work effectively with students who need support with academic English in technical or scientific fields.
I have more than twenty-five years of experience teaching and developing English-language learning materials. I taught reading, writing, listening, and speaking in the Intensive English Program at the University of New Mexico. My role was to help prepare these students for academic success by teaching academic reading strategies, essay writing, lecture listening, note-taking, and classroom discussion skills. In addition to classroom teaching, I have extensive experience developing ESL instructional materials used by language learners around the world.
I have taught students ranging from adult beginners to advanced learners preparing for university coursework, and I have worked in both classroom settings and smaller group or individualized instruction. My approach focuses on clear explanations, structured practice, and helping students build confidence as they develop their English skills.
