Hi! I’m Sonal, and I’m a math tutor serving the Dallas/Rowlett area. I tutor Algebra I & II, Geometry, Precalculus, Calculus, and ACT Math.

I graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, where I completed advanced coursework in calculus, discrete mathematics, linear algebra, and statistics. My background in computer science strengthened my analytical and problem-solving skills, which I bring directly into my tutoring sessions.

I’ve spent over two years tutoring at Mathnasium (Rowlett), working with students from elementary school through 12th grade in both one-on-one and small group settings. I’ve helped students catch up, get ahead, and boost their test scores — including building strong foundations for high school math and standardized exams like the ACT.

My teaching style is interactive, patient, and confidence-focused. I don’t just show you how to solve a problem — I help you understand why it works. Once you understand the “why,” math becomes way less scary and much more manageable. I also teach students how to identify what they already know and what they need to work on, so studying becomes smarter and more effective.
