Hello and welcome! My name is Jason and I am a current student at the University of Texas at Dallas, as a Software Engineering major! I have a passion for math and computer science. I have been coding since the fourth grade and have been teaching it for the past year! I have also been tutoring math since I was a sophomore in high school to my friends and family members. I have had so many amazing teachers, and have been inspired to do the same in my free time. I have learned to teach students from the middle to high school levels, keeping them engaged with hands-on learning. I have observed that this method works best for both computer science and math. I always start class with a small review from last time to get students going and start new content in a fun way.
I usually work with groups of 3-5 students, but have taught up to 15 students at a time. I adjust to the students' prefered method of learning whether that be listening, visually, or kinesthetically. I have taught and tutored math and computer science in Spanish as well. These students tended to be the ones needed more help, but I have also worked with students that want to work ahead or learn more outside the classroom.
I want my classes to help students as much as possible. If the students knows their way of learning, have notes that can help me see where they are, or have any other resource they are using, please let me know as this will make classes more efficient and time worthy. I am easy to reach and always respond thoroughly. Feel free to reach out and schedule a class!
