Tutor for Biology, Anatomy. Physiology and Biochemistry

Hello everyone, My name is Tolga and I will be tutoring general biology, anatomy, physiology and biochemistry. I got my undergraduate degree in biology from Southwestern University. I pursued my education further and got a masters degree in biology from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. I have experience tutoring college students and adults. I worked as a teaching assistant at Austin Community College for 4 years helping college students of all ages. I worked as a teaching assistant for general biology and organic chemistry courses. As a teaching assistant I attended every class, helped the professor with lectures and held 2-3 study sessions every week. The study sessions I conducted every week were small group sessions, typically 5-10 students, where I would provide individual help to students struggling with course material. In these study sessions we also did collaborative group work as well, working through practice questions together. Besides study sessions I would also have review sessions before every exam were the students and I would work together to provide a summary of major topics covered on the exam and I would answer any lingering questions students had. During a tutoring session we can work on any questions about the material you might have or if you want some more practice with the material I can provide practice questions for you. If you need further clarification about any topics I will do my best to explain it to you and provide you with learning aids such as videos, textbooks or anything else that helped me when I was learning the material for the first time that might be helpful for you.

While I tutor I always want to make sure my students are getting the most out of our sessions, therefore I welcome any resources or suggestions students may provide to make the sessions better for them.
