Hi there I’m Annushka! I graduated from the International Baccalaureate (IB) program in high school, having taken HL Biology, HL Chemistry, SL Psychology, HL English, SL French, and SL Math. I have an undergraduate degree from Loyola University New Orleans in Biology with a concentration in Pre-Health. I am currently a substitute teacher for Rockwall ISD and am working towards becoming a certified high school science teacher. Tutors have been the foundation of my educational journey and I would like to pay that forward by helping as many students as I can surpass their academic goals in a fun and engaging way. Everyone learns differently and I will make sure to adjust my teaching accordingly. Generally, I first outline a lesson plan with topics that will be covered, then narrow down from the big picture to the parts that make it up. After teaching the material, I will provide opportunities to practice what the student has learned and focus on the areas that need help.

I specialize in General Biology (including topics such as Anatomy, Genetics, Cell Biology, Plant Biology and more) and French, of which I am a native speaker. I am also comfortable teaching Math up to College Calculus, as well as all levels of English and Science. I can also provide support in IB Theory of Knowledge classes, Extended Essays and subject specific Internal Assesments.

I am very comfortable working with neurodivergent students and can easily accommodate according the the student’s specific needs. I welcome any resources parents or students would like to provide and will integrate it into my lesson plan for each individual.
