Hello! My name is Nathan, and I have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. I currently work as a Project Engineer in the utility-scale solar industry, where I use algebra, geometry, trigonometry, physics, and engineering principles every day to solve real-world design challenges. Throughout my engineering career, I've contributed to large utility-scale solar projects across the United States, giving me practical experience applying the same concepts students learn in school.

Teaching has always been something I've enjoyed. Throughout high school and college, I regularly helped classmates understand difficult material, and I later worked as a tutor at Sylvan Learning Center for about a year, teaching students in grades 5-12. I worked with students in elementary math, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, and ACT/SAT math preparation. During college, I also tutored fellow engineering students in Calculus I & II, Differential Equations, Physics, Statics, Fluid Mechanics, and Thermodynamics. These experiences taught me how to explain complex topics in a way that's easy to understand while adapting my teaching style to each student's individual needs.

My approach is centered on building confidence through understanding rather than memorization. I believe every student learns differently, so I take the time to identify what works best for them and explain concepts in multiple ways until they click. I focus on teaching the fundamentals first, then reinforce them through guided practice so students can confidently solve problems on their own.
