As a current dental student who has been accepted into top programs—including USC, UNC, and multiple Texas dental schools—I understand firsthand what it takes to succeed in the dental school application process. I scored in the 98th percentile on the DAT, which has equipped me with strong content mastery across all sections, proven study strategies, and the ability to break down complex concepts in a clear and efficient way. Over the past two years, I’ve specialized in DAT tutoring, helping students raise scores from as low as 13 to 23+ through targeted strategies, personalized study plans, and high-yield practice.

I bring over three years of college-level tutoring experience, starting as a peer tutor for math, chemistry, and biology, and later serving as a Supplemental Instructor for advanced science courses, where I led large-group review sessions, reinforced key concepts, and collaborated with faculty to support student success.

I took the Dental Admissions Test (DAT) in 2024 after a focused three-month study period and earned a competitive overall score, with my highest sections being a 510 in General Chemistry and 490 in Reading Comprehension (≈25 under the previous scale). Beyond my personal performance, I have over three years of experience as a science tutor, specializing in biology and general chemistry at the college level. As President of my university’s pre-dental organization, I led structured DAT prep sessions for both the total science section and the PAT, created targeted review materials, and provided individualized coaching and practice questions. The students I mentored reported measurable score improvements in both sections through content reinforcement and high-yield review strategies. My tutoring approach combines strong subject-matter expertise with strategic exam preparation to help students achieve competitive DAT scores within realistic study timelines.

I am a Summa Cum Laude graduate with over three years of experience tutoring mathematics and science across middle school, high school, and college levels. Throughout my own academic career, I consistently excelled on state standardized assessments, including the STAAR exam, and developed the strong academic foundation that has contributed to my continued success in advanced STEM coursework. Over the past year, I have provided STAAR-focused tutoring to 5th–8th grade students in my community, helping them strengthen core math skills, improve test-taking strategies, and achieve measurable score increases. Pearl has been an amazing DAT tutor! She is incredibly kind, patient, and understanding, and she creates a learning environment where it's easy to ask questions and build confidence. She does a great job of tailoring each lesson to the areas I struggle with and has taught me new strategies for approaching DAT questions. Her explanations are always clear, and she's flexible in adapting her teaching style to what works best for me. She is currently helping me to improve the most in General Chemistry, Quantitative Reasoning, and the PAT section. Easy to talk to, patient, intelligent tutor

I had a 2 hour session with Pearl. I needed help on DAT gen chem sections and PAT sections. We need an hour review for 15 gen chem questions and then an hour review for PAT questions. Very easy going and calm session. Will def request her again when I have other questions!
