Hello! I'm Fakeha, and I enjoy assisting students in learning and feeling confident in their academics. I'm a bachelor's student in Computer Information Systems at the University of Houston.
I have experience teaching math, Quran, and Qaida to children of different ages. I completed a Teacher Internship at Dar Us Sakina, where I taught individual special needs children. I taught them about Allah, reading the Arabic alphabet, and Islamic studies at a basic level. I volunteered at Maryam Masjid weekend school, where I listened to hifz students recite the Quran and also did reading for younger students.
In math, I have tutored children in my neighborhood and classmates who needed extra help. I enjoy making math simple and less overwhelming. I was humbled to receive a Rising Star Award in Geometry, reflecting my commitment and passion for the subject.
I have a patient and encouraging instructional style. I believe that every student learns in their own way, so I adapt my style to meet their needs. I've taught in group settings and one-on-one. I enjoy taking complex ideas and breaking them down into bite-sized, simplified steps, allowing students to learn more easily and become more confident.
Whether it is math, Quran, or Qaida, I want my students to love and excel at learning.
