I am a Physician Assistant student with a strong academic background in the health sciences and extensive experience working with school- and college-level students. My education has given me a solid foundation in subjects such as anatomy and physiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, clinical medicine, biology, and other health-related sciences. Before PA school, I also gained hands-on healthcare experience in clinical settings, including working as a medical scribe and medical assistant. These experiences strengthened my ability to connect foundational science concepts with their real-world clinical applications. I especially enjoy working with students and helping them develop the knowledge and reasoning skills needed to succeed in challenging science courses.
My tutoring approach focuses on understanding rather than simply memorizing information. I like first to identify exactly where a student is struggling and then break difficult concepts into smaller, manageable pieces. For students in the health sciences, I often use clinical examples, comparisons, patterns, and practice questions to help connect concepts and improve long-term retention. I also recognize that every student learns differently, so I adjust my teaching style based on the student's needs, whether that means reviewing foundational material, working through questions step by step, developing more effective study strategies, or preparing for an upcoming exam.
As a current PA student, I understand firsthand how overwhelming rigorous science coursework can become when there is a large amount of information to learn in a short period of time. My goal as a tutor is to make that material more organized and approachable while helping students become more confident and independent learners. I strive to create a comfortable environment where students can ask questions freely, work through mistakes, and leave each session with a clearer understanding of both the material and how to study it effectively.
