I love helping students succeed! To be successful, I emphasize communication skills: writing, public speaking and a knowledge of the liberal arts, such as history and geography. My BA is in history (cum laude) from the University of Michigan. I have also earned an MA in Hebrew Letters, along with Rabbinic Ordination, from the Hebrew Union College in Cincinnati, Ohio. Recently, I also received an honorary doctor of divinity degree from my Seminary as well. My thesis examined the interaction of Greco-Roman and Jewish thought in the First Century, CE in Palestine, Egypt, and Rome. I also bring over 20 years of pulpit experience to my tutoring. This means that I have spent hours helping kids compose and deliver speeches, as well as learn Bible, Hebrew, and related subjects. This has given me an appreciation for the developmental needs of children, including those with special needs. And as a parent, I have lived the life-span of a student!
I look forward to working with students of all ages and helping them to succeed. Their success is my only concern.
