Bio

I'm Aishu, a fellow Austinite! Having graduated from LASA High School and The University of Texas at Dallas with my Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Management, I've discovered my love for teaching students and passing knowledge forward. In college, I worked with AVID students in Richardson ISD on a weekly basis to not only help them in school but also increase their standardized exam scores, build their resumes, and identify internship opportunities.

My elemental philosophy is deeply rooted in teaching the problem-solving process, which will better equip the student to decipher more complex problems in the future. With a genuine interest in sharing knowledge, I hope to work with students to identify their strengths and weaknesses to achieve their desired goals.

About me/my qualifications: With my forte being in STEM, I took Integrated Physics and Chemistry in 8th grade, 10th chemistry, AP chemistry in 11th grade, as well as 2 semesters of college Chemistry. I was the lead tutor at Kumon for 2 years and have been tutoring students independently since 2019. One quality that sets me apart from other tutors is that I give all my students extra practice problems to solidify concepts that we covered during the session.

I scored a 4 on AP Physics 1 and a 5 on AP Physics 2, both of which I was able to get college credit for. Initially a science major in college before switching to business, I took College Physics 1 and 2 as a freshman (very unprecedented and discouraged at my school because of the difficulty level). I earned As in both College Physics 1 and 2. I have been tutoring for AP Physics and College Physics since 2019 and have a lot of practice problems to help students.

Aishu supported our teen with both chemistry and algebra 2. He found it very helpful. She tailored the tutoring to whatever he needed that week, whether that meant clarifying concepts, teaching different problem solving strategies, or offering test taking strategies based on format.
