My name is Juan C G. I'm a Spanish native speaker. I was born in Mexico City, and I attended the University of Mexico (UNAM) with a major in Civil Engineering. I have been teaching Math since I graduated from College in 1997. I started teaching Math back in Mexico in High School, then I moved to Middle School, and now, I'm teaching Elementary School.

My name is Juan C G. I'm a Spanish native speaker. I was born in Mexico City, and I attended the University of Mexico (UNAM) with a major in Civil Engineering. I have been teaching Math since I graduated from College in 1997. I started teaching Math back in Mexico in High School, then I moved to Middle School, and now, I'm teaching Elementary School.

I got my Teacher Certification as a Bilingual Elementary Teacher (PK-6) 8 years ago. Since then, I have been teaching Math and Science in Elementary School, mostly for Bilingual Students here in Texas. I have received the "Teacher of the Year" award two times while working in my school. Many times, I need to explain the lessons to my students in Spanish since their primary language is not English. My Spanish skills also are at a very high standard. My grammar, pronunciation, and conversational skills are from a Native Spanish speaker.

Being an immigrant in a foreign country, made me realize the importance of communicating in a personal, professional, and casual manner with confidence, speaking a language in a way that can be understood, and with the ability to transmit the appropriate message and meaning.

I can say with certainty that I was born to teach. I love when I’m teaching and I see my students’ faces shine when they finally understand a topic or a lesson. I consider myself passionate, patient, and proactive about teaching. I always have considered that my student's success, is my own success. I will be more than glad to help you improve your Spanish or Math skills. You will find in me, someone who is looking to accomplish your goals, and I will put my best effort to reach them together.

My student's scores in the Anual State Assessment, always have shown great performance.
Since I work with kids, I need to be patient, and many times do a spiral review until my whole class understands the lessons.

In the past 10 years, I have been teaching Math and Science to students in grades 3 through 8. The results on the STAAR test (the state test in Texas) allow me to say with certainty that my students have met the goals needed to be successful in the following grade level. Year after year, my principals have asked me to continue teaching Math and support other grades, even moving me to higher grades, to help improve student scores.
