I am a New York Times best selling author in the fields of nutrition, fitness, wellness, longevity, and have been a successful entrepreneur for the past 25 years. I love to teach others how to publish their books and be successful in business and public speaking. Have been interviewed on over 200 T.V. and radio shows and traveled worldwide lecturing/educating. I have a total of 35 years in these fields. I have worked as director of Public Health and Preventive Care teaching doctors in a Family Practice Residency for 4 years, and director of Wellness Programs at the Cooper Clinic in Dallas, TX for 6 years, previous to starting my own business.
My background training is a B.A. in Business Administration and a B.S. in Health Science from Andrews University, and two M.P.H. (Master of Public Health) degrees (Nutrition, Health Education) and a Dr.P.H. (Doctor of Public Health) in Clinical Preventive Care from Loma Linda University.
My teaching approach is individualized to the learner's needs. I first assess what the result and goal of the learning is, and then tailor my teaching approach to the student. Both classroom setting (theoretical) and practical (real-world) information are taught (with emphasis on the real-world). Much of the real-world teaching is taught from my experience, and what I have observed with other colleagues' experiences.
Dr. Roy is a man of integrity, intelligence, character, and a heart for helping others. I enjoyed working with him at the Cooper Aerobics Center, where he developed and directed the campus Cooper Wellness Program, while I was directing the Cooper Clinic Nutrition Program. Our programs focused on empowering people to make healthy food choices and live healthier lifestyles. Roy speaks with authority and authenticity, and covers the full spectrum of wellness topics. His books, lectures and programs can help anyone make healthy living easier.

Dr. Roy is an outstanding tutor. He is patient and provides effective on the spot feedback during the session. He is easy to get in touch with and communicates with his students frequently by email and phone to ensure all is well. I recommend him for anyone looking to further their career in public speaking or someone who is just getting started. He is inspiring and wants nothing but the best for his students. The first session we had was everything that I expected and more. I am pleased with my tutor.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Practically speaking, I started my first business when I was 15 years old, and my father was an accountant. As I was growing up, he taught me about the practical aspects of business and how to invest money. This, combined with my formal training in accounting, marketing, administration, and business law, makes for a well-rounded base to teach from.
I have a B.S. degree in Health from Andrews University and M.P.H. (Master of Public Health) degrees in Nutrition and Health Education, as well as a Dr.P.H. (Doctorate in Public Health) in Clinical Preventive Care from Loma Linda University. I co-authored 4 books on Fitness. I worked at the world-renowned Cooper Clinic/Cooper Aerobics Fitness Center as director of Wellness Programs for 6 years, encompassing nutrition, fitness training, and weight loss.

All of this encompassed lifestyle nutrition and weight loss education.
I have an M.P.H. (Master of Public Health) degree in nutrition, and a Dr.P.H. (Doctor of Public Health) degree in preventive care from Loma Linda University, which included numerous courses in nutrition.
My teaching encompasses the strict science of nutrition as well as the practical aspects of diets and strategies to modify them for achieving specific goals.
