I am a university professor with a PhD and over a decade of experience teaching statistics, data science, econometrics, and programming. I currently teach graduate- and undergraduate-level courses in statistics, business analytics, R, and Python, and over the course of my career I have taught several thousand students in classroom, lab, and one-on-one settings. In addition to teaching, I have worked as a statistician on federally funded research projects, where I was responsible for developing statistical models, reviewing analyses, and helping researchers interpret results accurately.

My teaching experience spans a wide range of student backgrounds and ages, including traditional undergraduates, graduate students, PhD candidates, and working professionals returning to school. Much of my work has involved one-on-one instruction outside of formal lectures, including office hours, individual tutoring, and research supervision. I frequently help students who are struggling with statistics or programming coursework, preparing for exams, completing assignments, or learning how to apply statistical and computational methods in their own research or projects.

My tutoring approach emphasizes clarity, structure, and understanding. I focus on building intuition first, then connecting concepts to the math or code required for a specific class or task. I adapt my explanations to the student’s background and learning style, and I aim to create a supportive, judgment-free environment where students feel comfortable asking questions. This approach has been effective for students at both introductory and advanced levels, particularly in statistics, R, Python, econometrics, and related quantitative subjects.

Econometrics

Econometrics

I hold a PhD in theoretical econometrics, with peer-reviewed research published in the Journal of Business and Economic Statistics, a leading econometrics journal. I currently teach econometrics at the undergraduate and graduate levels and have extensive experience explaining both theoretical foundations and applied methods. My expertise includes linear regression, hypothesis testing, panel data models, causal inference, and econometric theory. I regularly help students understand complex concepts, prepare for exams, and apply econometric methods correctly in coursework and research.
Machine Learning/ AI

Machine Learning/ AI

I am a university professor with a PhD who has taught applied machine learning at the graduate level. My experience includes teaching core machine learning concepts such as supervised and unsupervised learning, model evaluation, regularization, and practical model selection. I work primarily with Python and commonly used data science libraries to help students implement and interpret machine learning models correctly. I regularly tutor graduate students and professionals who need help understanding course material, completing projects, or applying machine learning methods in real-world settings.
