I'm Jayme! I earned my Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Texas A&M University Corpus Christi. My love of tutoring started while I was employed at my campus tutoring center. While pursuing my career in Actuarial Science and Petroleum Analyst, I still continued to tutor, but my business experiences helped me understand and be able to share with students the practical places math is used in the real world. I left the business world thirteen years ago to focus on educating my 5 children. Through their education I have taught all levels of Math from Kindergarten to Algebra II. Beyond educating my own children I have taught Algebra, Biology, Chemistry, and Economics within a Co-op setting. My goal was always to make learning fun and explain challenging concepts in a way all my students could understand the material. So, in all I now have over 25 years of teaching and tutoring experience in math from the elementary to college levels.

My favorite level of Math to tutor is Algebra. I know many struggle with this area, but I really believe it is an essential skill and love to break it down so that students can understand the processes involved. My experience is primarily in working one on one with students. I love the tutoring model of education because it allows you to meet the individual needs of each student and gives them the freedom to move at their own pace. Most of my tutoring experience has been in person, but in recent years I have been able to still tutor online or through Facetime.
