Hi!
My name is Sammie, I am 21 years old and I am currently studying at Baylor University as a Cell and Molecular Biology major. A little bit about me, I graduated from John Paul II High School, a private Catholic college preparatory school in Plano Texas with honors and was in the top 6% of my graduating class. While enrolled, I took numerous AP courses and because of my scores, I received the AP Scholar with Distinction Award from the College Board. I am most proud of the 5 I received on the AP Calculus AB exam. I spent the summer after I graduated working on a tutoring certification from the National Tutoring Association where I attended digital webinars on how to be the most effective tutor.

I found out about Wyzant when I was a sophomore in high school. I was in Algebra 2, and my teacher was not quite providing enough instruction for me to feel confident in the class. However, after spending some time with my tutor, I quickly climbed to the top of my class and was soon hitting every test out of the park. I believe tutoring is an extremely valuable resource that students absolutely should take advantage of, as confidence is everything in the classroom. As a tutor, I wish to give the same level of confidence to my students as my tutor gave me and to set y'all up with the same amount of success that I was able to achieve as well.

Because I am a full-time college student, I am only able to tutor online. However, I believe this makes me even more reachable as we do not have to factor in driving time and I am willing to work with the student concerning more flexible dates and times.
