Youth Basketball Coach - Prep for Middle School Try Outs

I currently coach two basketball teams. One team consists of all third graders and one team is a fifth and sixth grade team. I am also the Director of the off season basketball program at Christ United Methodist Church in Plano, Texas. This basketball program is year round. I am the most requested coach in this program of four hundred players.

My coaching style is high energy and positive reinforcement. I do not use negative coaching techniques. I teach, teach, teach and motivate. The players like me and so do their parents. My combined record with both teams so far this season is eleven wins and one loss. I have included my won loss record because that is how coaches are judged. However, I do not stress winning and losing at this age level. My third graders are playing in a third and fourth grade division. They are beating bigger and older teams each week.

My teams practice and play year round. Any client can come to a practice or a game without obligation. I am totally low key and you can feel free to talk to any of the players parents who are attending practice. I love teaching the kids and I really love basketball. The kids have a lot of fun and in the process become rock solid basketball players.
