I am an experienced tutor and instructor in undergraduate physics. I tutored at the University of Texas at Dallas, where I was also a Teaching Assistant. I taught courses at Richland College and Collin County Community College. My specialties are Physics I and Physics II, both algebra and calculus based. I also have experience with laboratory experiments and writing lab reports.
I am also familiar with all the mathematics required for physics, which include algebra, geometry, trigonometry, precalculus and calculus. Tae continues to work with me on the fundamentals and is patient. He breaks things down to an understandable level and I will continue to use him
My son took AP/GT Physics I lesson with Tae for this whole school year. Tae is very knowledgeable, patient and knows how to explain the problems very well. Thank you for giving him confidence in Physics and a great school year Tae. He is going to take another two AP/GT Physics classes next school year and already told me to keep your number :-)
My son and his friends have used Tae for AP physics and calculus for the last two years. They tell me often that he is the best. He knows his stuff hands down, is never stumped, and has the gift of teaching.
I was so worried about my son. Tae S. was so patient & by the time he left my son understood what was going on in physics. Thank you!
Tae is great with helping me understand physics. He is patient and stays as long as I need him.
Very conscientious, reliable, and dedicated teacher. Wants to make sure my son understands the topic and will quiz him until he does rather than just assume. We will use him for AP Physics and pre-Calc this year and are glad we found him. Highly recommended.
Mr. Tae is a great tutor. My daughter and I have had the privilege of working with him. He is easy to reach and responds very fast to our requests. He is very knowledgable and have been helpful with AP Calculus and AP physics B. I couldn't have asked for a better tutor.
Tae has been very helpful for my daughter and her physics class. He make the subject easy to understand and available for tutoring on short notice.
Very professional tutor. Came to give a Physics lesson to our daughter on short notice even at a late hour. She improved her grade and knowledge of Physics Principles since she has been started working with Tae.
Tae S. really helped my son. He explained everything patiently and clearly so that my son could understand. My son was awed at his knowledge and his quickness in getting straight to the particular area he was studying. After using another tutor who had substituted at his school my son said he really preferred Mr S. He is a big relief for us!!! Thanks.
This was my daughter's first session with Tae and it was very productive. We chose him because his other reviews were stellar and he did not disappoint. My daughter felt like she really got a lot out of the session and is very appreciative of the one-on-one opportunity and Tae's patient teaching demeanor.
Highly knowledgeable and structured. Tae came always prepared for a lesson and shared additional materials for a student to work on via emails. Overall the lessons achieved an improved SAT score for my son.
My son has been tutored by Tae since November and his Physics grade has gone up 20+ points. He says Tae "just explains the material so well". The success is evident in the grades that he has been posting and the confidence that he has now in scientific knowledge and his future as an engineer.
Thank you for everything.
Mr. Tae was very good and easy to understand. He was on top with the facts. Mr. Tae refereed me to other area of studies to improve my research of my project.
For the short amount of time, a lot of ground was covered and provided my child with an understanding of some difficult concepts.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
