I’ve always enjoyed taking complicated ideas and breaking them down into something that actually makes sense. I hold a Master’s degree in Economics, which I completed with a 3.96 GPA, as well as bachelor’s degrees in both Finance and Economics. I’ve always enjoyed taking complicated ideas and breaking them down into something that actually makes sense. I hold a Master’s degree in Economics, which I completed with a 3.96 GPA, as well as bachelor’s degrees in both Finance and Economics. My academic background has given me a strong foundation in economics, finance, statistics, and quantitative problem-solving, but I also understand that knowing a subject and being able to explain it clearly are two very different skills.
Outside of academics, I’m a professional flight instructor and Certified Flight Instructor–Instrument (CFII). Teaching aviation has given me extensive one-on-one instructional experience with students who have different learning styles, strengths, and areas of difficulty. Flying also leaves very little room for simply memorizing an answer—you need to understand why something works and be able to apply that knowledge. I bring that same approach to tutoring. Rather than just helping students arrive at the correct answer, my goal is to help them understand the underlying concepts well enough to solve problems independently.
I’m especially interested in helping students with economics, finance, statistics, and related quantitative coursework. Whether you’re struggling with a particular concept, preparing for an exam, or simply want someone to explain the material in a different way, I’m happy to meet you where you are and work through it step by step.
