I am a practicing civil engineer (certified Texas Engineer-in-Training #78316) with a Bachelor & Master of Science in Civil Engineering and experience using mathematics and physics every day in professional work. I have studied for and passed the NCEES FE Exam (civil) and NCEES PE Exam (transportation).

My academic background includes the full calculus sequence, statics & dynamics, and other typical civil engineering courses. I regularly help students connect what they see in class to how problems are solved in real engineering situations, which makes difficult material more intuitive and easier to remember.

I have worked with high school and college students in one-on-one settings, helping with homework, test preparation, and long-term understanding of core concepts. I remember many moments as a student feeling stuck or behind & I would love to help push someone else toward academic / professional success. My approach is structured and calm: start where the confusion is and practice until the student can solve problems independently. We'll focus on pattern recognition, common professor expectations, and efficient exam strategy.

Students working in AutoCAD / Civil 3D, calculus, precalculus, algebra, trigonometry, physics, statics, mechanics of materials, and other engineering fundamentals tend to benefit most from my background. I can also assist with spreadsheet and engineering software tasks when assignments move beyond pencil-and-paper work. Whether the goal is raising a grade, preparing for a major exam, or gaining confidence in technical courses, I aim to make sessions practical, focused, and productive.
