Hi, my name is Raghav! I'm about to graduate from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering and a minor in Math. I've always admired how teachers play a crucial role in shaping the way students approach problems and develop critical thinking skills. As a student, I quickly learned to appreciate the teachers who could break down complex concepts into simpler, more digestible pieces of information. I’m passionate about creating those 'aha' moments for others, where everything clicks and understanding takes hold. My goal is to make learning accessible and enjoyable, helping students not only grasp the material but also build confidence in their abilities.
I have close to 2 years of experience with tutoring. As a part of my university, I was a course assistant for the Algorithms (computer science) course, for which I'd lead study sessions for students taking the class and break difficult computer science problems into simpler subproblems that they could understand. Apart from this, I've tutored 2 elementary school students in math (specifically elementary algebra/geometry/logic), and while I don't have experience tutoring SAT/ACT math, I got a 780/800 on the SAT math section and I'm very comfortable with topics tested on the exams.
Please reach out to me if you have any questions or comments! I am easy to reach and will provide fast responses. Thanks!
