8 years of classroom experience (4th grade, Special Education (K-5) and Elementary School Librarian (K-5) plus 15 years of substitute teaching experience (PK-12). Most recently, I've worked with a non-profit tutoring underserved students (K-6) via a virtual format and tutoring ESL students (K-12) online.
Students perform best when they're in a safe, warm environment. I spend time getting to know students so that we can work together to address their needs. Working with the parent, and sometimes the teacher, we come up with a plan to create goals that will help the student be successful. It's also important to have a little fun, so I incorporate games and activities that take student's interests into account.
