My son happily reported that he learned a lot in his first USACO lesson with Vidith. Vidith started the class by explaining basic problem solving techniques, such as how to gain deeper understanding of the problem, how to come up with ideas, and how not to get frustrated. Then he helped my son work out a hard problem. My little guy came up with the idea following the approach Vidith outlined, Vidith gave him some suggestions in the implementation step. I'm so glad Vidith focuses on problem solving skill. That is the point of doing USACO. I'm also glad that Vidith did not give a lecture. Instead he led the student to work out the answer himself. My little guy has had a few wonderful STEM teachers. He says Vidith is among the very best.
