I am a high school Spanish teacher with over 15 years of experience working with students in a classroom setting, primarily in Spanish I and II. Throughout my career, I have worked with a wide range of learners, from students who feel completely lost in class to those looking to strengthen their skills and build confidence. My goal in tutoring is to help students truly understand the language—not just complete assignments—so they can feel more successful and less frustrated in their coursework.

My teaching approach focuses on communication and clarity. I break down concepts like verb conjugation, sentence structure, and reading comprehension into manageable, understandable steps, and I adjust my methods based on each student’s learning style. I have extensive experience working one-on-one with students during class, which allows me to quickly identify where confusion is happening and address it in a way that makes sense to them. I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and taking risks as they learn.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Texas A&M University with a minor in English, and I have spent time in multiple Spanish-speaking countries, which helps me bring real-world cultural context into my teaching. In addition to my classroom experience, I have presented at professional conferences, including ACTFL, and I stay connected to current best practices in language instruction. I am comfortable working with middle school, high school, and adult learners, and I would love the opportunity to help you or your student feel more confident and successful in Spanish.
