Hi, I’m Elizabeth! I graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in English literature, minoring in History and Bible. I have also earned a Master of Social Work degree and a Master of Divinity degree. I am bilingual in English and Spanish (speaking, listening, reading, and writing). I have spoken Spanish in my prior job 50% — 75% of the time for several years.
Most recently, I have eight years of experience mentoring students one on one. While in seminary, I was an instructional assistant, tutoring both Biblical Hebrew and Biblical Greek. This took place in a small group setting. I taught elementary school (multiple subjects) for one year, including an after school elective in Spanish, for which I wrote the curriculum. There were 22 sixth grade students in my classroom.
My teaching method is person-centered, tailored to the individual needs of each student. I listen well in order to create each student’s unique lesson plan. I enjoy using humor and relatable examples to help students learn and retain information.
I require 24 hours’ notice for cancelling tutoring sessions. I am happy to provide a free 30 minute consultation meeting to determine whether we are a good fit. Please message me for more information or to set up a free consultation!
