Hi! I am Ms. Arafa, a science tutor with a background in pharmacy and over 16 years of teaching experience. I’m currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Pharmacy Informatics at UTHealth. Genetics

I have extensive experience teaching biology and genetics at different levels, including private tutoring for students in genetics courses. My background in pharmaceutical sciences has strengthened my understanding of molecular biology, gene expression, and the relationship between genetics and human health. I am experienced in teaching core genetics topics such as Mendelian inheritance, Punnett squares, probability, gene expression, DNA replication, transcription, translation, and genetic variation. I also guide students step by step through problem-solving and exam-style questions. With over 16 years of teaching experience, I focus on simplifying complex concepts, adapting to each student’s learning style, and helping students build both confidence and strong academic performance in genetics.

Pharmacology

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Cairo University (Egypt), an accredited institution. My degree has been officially evaluated in the United States by WES. My academic training provided me with a strong foundation in pharmacology, including drug mechanisms of action, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and therapeutic applications. I have over 16 years of experience teaching science across different levels, with a focus on making complex concepts clear and easy to understand. In pharmacology, I help students break down topics such as receptor interactions, drug classifications, and system-based pharmacology (e.g., cardiovascular and nervous system drugs) into simple, structured steps. My teaching approach emphasizes deep understanding rather than memorization, using clear explanations and real-life applications to help students succeed in exams and build long-term confidence in the subject.
