Hello! I’m a native Japanese speaker, a graduate of the University of Tokyo, and I’ve been living in the U.S. for over 10 years. Since 2011, I have been teaching Japanese to learners from all over the world, and I specialize in helping students from absolute beginners to advanced JLPT N1 level.
I have taught students of all ages, from young children to adults, and I am currently teaching learners across all levels, from JLPT N5 through N1. Before I began teaching Japanese formally, I also volunteered by introducing Japanese culture to people from overseas, which gave me valuable experience in sharing not just the language, but also the traditions and context behind it.
Whether you’re just starting out and don’t know any hiragana or katakana, or you’re aiming to master complex kanji and grammar, I’m here to support you. I particularly enjoy teaching the origins and structure of kanji to help deepen understanding and improve long-term memory.
In our first lesson, I will ask about your goals and discuss your reasons for learning Japanese so we can create a personalized lesson plan together. I believe that learning a language should be fun and enjoyable—when you're having fun, you learn faster and retain more. My lessons are friendly, supportive, and tailored to your pace and goals. Let’s enjoy learning Japanese together!
