Hello! My name is Grace, and I am a certified elementary educator with over 14 years of teaching experience supporting students in reading, writing, and mathematics.
I hold a Bachelor of Elementary Education and a Master of Arts in Teaching Reading, and I am a licensed teacher in both the Philippines and New Zealand. I currently teach Grade 3 in a U.S. public charter school, where I work with diverse learners and help students build strong literacy and numeracy skills through structured instruction and individualized support.
Throughout my career, I have taught students primarily in Grades 1–5, both in classroom settings and through small-group and one-on-one instruction. My experience includes working with multilingual learners, students who need additional academic support, and students working to strengthen foundational reading and math skills.
My tutoring approach focuses on helping students truly understand concepts rather than memorizing answers. I break down complex topics into manageable steps, use visual supports and guided practice, and provide strategies that help students become more confident and independent learners. I also incorporate formative assessment and targeted practice to track progress and ensure students continue improving.
Many of the students I work with improve their reading comprehension, problem-solving skills, and academic confidence over time. My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where students feel encouraged, motivated, and capable of reaching their full potential.
I look forward to helping students strengthen their skills and succeed academically.
