I believe a great instructor teaches as well as inspires students to enjoy the process of learning. I have training in Project Based Learning that can effectively engage students in their subjects. I teach to the whole child by caring about their entire learning experience. I have years of experience in being able to meet a student at their current level of knowledge and scaffolding to give them a solid basis in the material to learn and master.

I can understand how the traditional teaching methods may not be the most effective for some students. Having dyslexia taught me how to encourage students to persevere when learning new or difficult material. I thoroughly enjoy teaching and watching students succeed academically while having fun learning. Recently, I moved to New Braunfels and have a great part-time job that allows me the opportunity to tutor a student individually or a group of students to supplement home-schooling.

Bachelor of Science in Environmental education from Lesley University. Trained in Project Based Learning to fully engage students and an accredited STEM and STEAM teacher. Extensive science fair experience and direct teaching experience for Biology/Life Sciences, Earth/Space, Physics and Chemistry with students from 6th through 8th grade. I have four microscopes to train students in microscope skills.

If you want your middle school child to have fun while learning or if they benefit from hands-on learning then I am a great choice. Also, I am excellent with a group of students and can perform senior level science labs that include microscopes.
