I have been a Montessori teacher for over 25 years, working in a range from pre-school to 3rd grade. I have also been the Assistant Director at several Montessori schools, structuring classrooms, schedules, teacher training, coordinating between parents and Directors, and providing workshops for parents and staff and helping with front desk duties as necessary.
I have always enjoyed the one-on-one interaction with students, teaching language skills and mathematics to young minds. I enjoy individualizing lesson plans to meet the student's needs. I have worked with all levels of students. My early childhood training and Montessori certification were obtained in England, and I have worked in schools in Louisiana, Virginia, Michigan and Texas.
Working in the Montessori system, I have worked with phonetic learners and memory learners in English. Finding the fun in learning is important, and my goal is to help students continue to build self-esteem and a love of learning.
