Hello! My name is Joshua, and I graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Sam Houston State University in May 2026.. Throughout nursing school, I completed extensive coursework in Anatomy and Physiology I and II, Microbiology, Pathophysiology, Pharmacology, and many other science based and nursing courses. My education provided me with a strong foundation in these subjects and an understanding of the concepts students often find the most challenging. During nursing school, I regularly helped classmates work through difficult topics by explaining them in a way that was easier to understand. Seeing someone go from feeling confused to finally understanding a concept is what inspired me to become a tutor.
I genuinely enjoy helping people learn because I know how much of a difference the right explanation can make. My goal is not just to help students earn better grades, but to help them feel less overwhelmed, build confidence, and develop a strong understanding rather than memorization. Since I am a visual learner myself, I like to use diagrams, drawings, and analogies to make complex concepts easier to understand. I also share study techniques and test taking strategies that helped me succeed throughout nursing school. Every student learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to fit their learning style, pace, and goals while creating an environment where they feel comfortable asking questions.
I currently tutor Anatomy and Physiology I & II, Microbiology, Nursing. and Pharmacology. Whether you're preparing for an exam, reviewing lecture material, working through homework, or trying to understand a topic that has been giving you trouble, I will do everything I can to help you succeed.
