I started my nursing journey at a local community college where I earned an Associate's Degree in Nursing and graduated Magna Cum Laude. After passing boards, I worked in an acute care hospital where I was very independent and ascertained a majority of my practical nursing experience until I decided to attend graduate school. While in graduate school, I worked a few PRN positions in different areas of nursing.
I graduated with a MSN-Ed in 2018 and while working PRN as a clinical professor. After graduation, I transitioned to full time faculty at a local college. I worked to create innovative ways to teach and aid students in passing NCLEX. I am compassionate and patient. I have children with learning disabilities, so I know first hand that everyone learns different and it is the educators job to meet the students needs. With my educational and practical experience, I can help students with clinical and didactic content.
During COVID, I transitioned back to bedside nursing. I worked as a Manager of a COIVD unit for 2020-2021. After a tough year, I have been and currently work as a Pre-Op/PACU nurse at a surgery center.
I am looking forward to returning to teaching, through tutoring, helping students reach their educational goals!
