I started teaching in 2004. I have taught almost all the middle school and high school courses throughout my teaching career. I taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Math, as well as Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, PreCalculus, AP Statistics, and AP Calculus AB courses.
Besides these courses, I have been the Math Coach of my schools for many years. I provided extra classes to GT students after school, weekends and even sometimes before school to make them ready for Math competitions...
I provided extra classes to GT students after school, weekends and even sometimes before school to make them ready for Math competitions such as MATHCOUNTS, AMC 8-10-12. We studied in some students houses, too. In Arkansas, the team I prepared won the state competition when I was the coach at the years 2008 and 2009, and me as the state MATHCOUNTS Coach and my team went to nationals to represent the state of Arkansas.
Also, I received Edith Math Sliffe "Distinguished Math Teaching' Award from the Math Association of America since my top 3 students did really well on the AMC 8 Math competition.
Besides teaching, I was also the head of Math department, for some years. As Math department, we wrote questions, prepared state test prep materials for our students. We provided them after school and home tutoring for free. I guided some new teachers how they can do better.
My Elementary school level teaching is limited to tutoring some elementary school kids. I have tutored 1st-5th graders.
I am looking forward to help your students reach their full potential.
