I have been teaching since I was in high school. It is a passion for me and the greatest pleasure in teaching is to be able to change lives. Apart from imparting the subject matter, I strongly believe in inculcating values, traditions, tolerance, and confidence in my students. I apply all kinds of techniques like conflict-resolution, motivational tools, teaching aids, implementation strategies, educational resources based on technology to address classroom situations and make learning fun simultaneously.
I taught third grade for 12 years and enjoyed every bit of it until STAAR happened. It is a rigorous test and requires a lot of higher level thinking skills. I was a Reading Recovery teacher and work with 7 years old kids as a forest grade teacher. I have learned a lot while being a part of the Early Literacy program. I have taught reading and writing to 4th graders for 2 years. I taught PreK for 4 years and currently I am a Kinder teacher.
In all, I have 23 years of experience.
