I currently teach Algebra 2 at a Houston public high school, where I help students strengthen their math skills and become more confident problem solvers.
My teaching experience includes one year of Algebra 1 and two years of Geometry, along with my current work in Algebra 2. I have taught high school students in both regular school-year and summer-school classrooms, including students preparing for the Algebra 1 STAAR exam. Working with students at different skill levels has taught me how to identify gaps in understanding and adjust my explanations to meet their needs.
My approach is patient, clear, and focused on helping students understand why each step works. I use worked examples, visual models, guided practice, and questions that encourage students to explain their thinking. During tutoring, I help students work through challenging concepts, recognize and correct mistakes, and practice solving problems independently. Whether a student needs help with homework, test preparation, or foundational skills, my goal is to make math more understandable and build lasting confidence.
