I am a certified teacher with experience in both elementary education and special education. I hold certifications in Special Education EC–12, Core Subjects EC–8 with STR, ESL Supplemental, and Life Science 7–12. Over the past several years, I have worked with students in a variety of classroom settings ranging from kindergarten through middle school. My experience includes two years as a middle school life skills teacher supporting students with diverse learning needs, as well as three years as a math resource and intervention teacher working with elementary students in grades K–5.
My teaching experience has focused heavily on individualized instruction, small group intervention, and confidence-building support for struggling learners. I have worked with students with learning disabilities, ADHD, autism, academic gaps, and language barriers, while also supporting general education students who benefit from extra practice and encouragement. In my intervention role, I provided targeted math instruction, progress monitoring, accommodations, and differentiated lessons designed to meet each student’s unique learning style and academic needs.
I believe students learn best in a supportive and encouraging environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. My tutoring approach focuses on patience, engagement, and helping students build confidence alongside academic skills. I enjoy making learning interactive and approachable while helping students strengthen foundational skills in math, reading, study habits, and overall academic independence.
