Hi! I’m Anna, a Biomedical Engineering student at the University of Houston, and I’ve been tutoring STEM subjects for several years. I’ve worked with students ranging from middle school to college-level, including one-on-one tutoring, peer-support sessions, structured study groups, and helping classmates in lab-based courses. I love meeting students where they are and helping them feel more confident in math and science.
My academic background includes coursework in calculus, physics, engineering mechanics, chemistry, statistics, biology, and physiology. I also work in a biomaterials and tissue engineering research lab, where I get to apply many of the same concepts I teach. This experience helps me explain difficult topics in a practical, intuitive way that connects to real-world examples.
My tutoring approach starts with figuring out exactly where a student is getting stuck. From there, I use clear step-by-step explanations, lots of guided practice, and different teaching styles depending on the student’s needs. I’ve taught students who needed long-term support, students catching up after falling behind, and students preparing for big exams. Whether I’m helping a middle schooler understand basic algebra or a college student break down a physics problem, I stay patient, encouraging, and focused on building true understanding.
I’m very easy to communicate with, quick to respond, and flexible with scheduling. I want students to leave each session feeling more confident, capable, and supported. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or to schedule a lesson. I’m excited to help you succeed!
