Hello and welcome to my profile!

A little bit about me - I'm a Texas A&M graduate (WHOOP) with a Bachelor's in Nuclear Engineering and a Master's in Materials Science and Engineering. Chemistry has been a passion of mine since high school where I was a TA my final year. I've been tutoring Chemistry for 5+ years. In addition, I was a Graduate Teaching Assistant for the first year Chemistry program at Texas A&M where I taught labs for General Chemistry II and Chemistry for Engineers during Spring and Fall 2017 respectively.

I consider myself a modern-day Renaissance Man - meaning I have an interest in many different subject areas. I like solving problems and I like to help people solve their problems which is why I enjoy tutoring so much!

Enough about me, I'd like to get to know you and work with you! :)

Patient, diligent, knowledgeable, and thorough tutor

Nivyan has been my tutor for the past 8 week on intro to chemistry 101. I honestly have to say if it were not for him tutoring me during this past 8 week period I would have either failed or dropped this course along time ago. However, because of his patients with me (not a good at math person) and simplified explanation on various subject made this course a breeze to pass and I owe all my success in this course to him. I would highly recommend him to anyone that has serious doubts about their ability to pass this course because that was the exact same situation I was in. In additions, he gave me tips and trick on many different subject in order solve what I thought to be difficult problems and there were a plethora of them. See for me most of this stuff read like a foreign language while also not knowing where to even begin. Nivyan instructions, guidance, and encouragement helped me me succeed without a doubt, because of him I was able to pull an A as my final grade.

Knowledgeable, patient, helpful tutor

Nivyan met with me almost every single day for an hour to review general chemistry concepts. He was incredibly patient and knowledgeable on the subject. Before meeting with him, I received a 73% on a test, and after meeting with him, my test average skyrocketed to 89%. The improvement that I showed after meeting with Nivyan proves how great of a tutor he is. Another thing I appreciated about him was that he wants the session to be as catered to your needs as possible. We did things in a way that meshed with my learning style, whereas other tutors do not even consider this. I was never afraid to ask questions, and he answered them in great detail providing examples and time for me to process and ask follow-up questions. I would highly recommend Nivyan to everyone!

Helpful and Patient

Nivyan is an amazing tutor. I would highly recommend utilizing his mastery of physics to help you better understand the subject. I for one was clueless, and after a 1 hour session with Nivyan, I finally felt like I could make sense of the assignments I was given.

Really knowledgeable

He made me understand more of what I wasn’t getting. I’m still a little confused but that’s expected in science and math. I’ll continue to watch our lesson and go to him again when I need help. Thank you

Awesome lesson

Yet another lesson where you took me from barely being able to do my assignment, to being fully capable of working out the problems on my own. Thank you Nivyan!

Thank you for the kind words, Alex. Happy to help whenever and wherever I can, especially my most loyal students!

Great teaching style!

My brother was thrilled after his session with Nivyan. He loved his approach and by the end of the session, he was able to complete problems on his own. Just within one session it was clear that my brother’s confidence in his ability to improve in Chemistry increased! Thanks, Nivyan.
