I am a certified Special Education teacher with experience supporting students in grades PK–8 across a variety of academic and classroom settings. Over the past several years, I have worked with students in both inclusion and small-group environments, helping them build academic skills, organization, confidence, and independence. My background includes supporting students with ADHD, autism, learning disabilities, executive functioning challenges, and academic gaps in reading, writing, math, and study skills.
In addition to classroom teaching, I have experience serving in intervention and student support roles, including progress monitoring, MTSS support, and individualized academic planning. I understand that every student learns differently, and I believe successful tutoring starts with building trust and creating an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and taking risks. Many of the students I work with are capable learners who simply need instruction presented in a different way, additional structure, or support with organization and confidence.
My tutoring style is patient, supportive, and highly individualized to each student’s needs. I use scaffolding, guided practice, visual supports, and real-world connections to help students better understand concepts and develop independence over time. I also communicate regularly with families when appropriate so parents feel informed and supported throughout the learning process. Whether a student needs help catching up academically, improving study habits, preparing for assessments, or building confidence in school, my goal is always to help them feel successful and capable.
