I recently earned my Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a minor in Sustainability Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington, after completing my Associate of Science in Engineering Science at Dallas College. I also hold my NCEES Fundamentals of Engineering certification, along with laboratory safety and water quality citizen science training. My academic background in advanced mathematics, physics, and engineering analysis has provided me with a strong technical foundation, while my professional experience in transportation research and stormwater engineering has strengthened my problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

For over three years, I have worked with students ranging from elementary school through college in a variety of settings, including one-on-one tutoring, small classroom instruction, online sessions, and in-home support. During the 2024–2025 school year, I served as a STEM Educator with GradePower Learning/Strategic Focus, where I taught advanced topics in calculus, algebra, physics, and chemistry. I design customized lesson plans that incorporate real-world applications and hands-on problem solving to help students build both confidence and mastery. One of my proudest achievements was helping a student raise her SAT score by 170 points, enabling her to enroll in the college of her choice. I have also supported peers in advanced mathematics courses and worked closely with students facing learning disabilities, language barriers, and varying academic levels, always adapting my approach to meet their individual needs.

My teaching philosophy centers on patience, structure, and encouragement. I believe that every student is capable of excellence when given the right tools and support. By breaking down complex concepts into manageable steps and reinforcing foundational skills, I help students develop independence and critical thinking abilities that extend beyond the classroom.

Approved Subjects

ASVAB

ASVAB

Took the ASVAB test for future opportunities and achieved a high percentile score. My mathematical skills along with general science knowledge allowed for me to excel on my first attempt. I plan on using more obtained skills such as those in assembly, paragraph comprehension, and word knowledge to enhance the results of my future students.
Civil Engineering

Civil Engineering

I am a licensed civil engineer in the state of Texas, who completed over 4 years of study to achieve both my Associates and Bachelors degree. My work expertise is displayed through my work through Texas A&M involving transportation research. I have accomplished obtaining my EIT license by passing my fundamentals of engineering exam (FE) before I graduated college. Lastly, I currently work for the city where my expertise in this field is continuously growing and stretching above my previous studies.
Elementary Science

Elementary Science

I have executed subject practice for all physical sciences in university including chemistry, physics, and environmental science.
GED

GED

My last student was dyslexic and needed direct attention for spelling, reading, comprehension and forming ideas into words. Throughout our sessions, he was able to create entire paragraphs himself and be confident in all of his abilities.
SAT Math

SAT Math

My last student was able to raise her score by 170 points on the SAT, allowing her to confidently apply to the colleges of her choice
STAAR

STAAR

I spent my 2024-25 academic year being a full-time tutor for STAAR testing, this tremendously helped students prepare for the upcoming test at the end of the year. I created lessons and provided assistance as needed to aid students in grasping the fundamentals needed to be successful. My time at the diverse school I was at developed my skillset to deal with language barriers, overcoming academic gaps, and identifying learning habits for those with learning disabilities.
