I earned straight A's in my accounting courses and have 10 years of experience working as a tutor and graduate assistant. While I know that accounting and business is not for everyone, I believe that there are a few easy tips and tricks that can help anyone get a basic understanding of the subject.

I prefer to take the time to help students understand the overarching concepts in the subject rather than focus on memorizing formulas and graphs. If a student can think through the problem on their own and understand why/how certain concepts are related, they can apply their knowledge to the real world.

I obtained a Masters in Accounting and passed the CPA before beginning a career in public accounting, so I know a thing or two about crunching the numbers! I also know that accounting isn't for everyone, so I pride myself on having patience and breaking down concepts in multiple ways to uniquely address the needs of each student.
