I have watched Math and Engineering majors struggle with accounting. Accounting is not hard just different. I view accounting as a corporation's story with each month a chapter and a each year the current edition.

Previously I taught basic and advance financial accounting in the evening division at a small liberal college. I currently work in the public accounting field working with a variety of clients.

I enjoy watching the "Aha" moment when a student understands the concept and can make it apply to the current topic. While technology is everywhere, many times we return to the old school of paper and pencil to understand the basics.

Accounting is like Math and Foreign Languages in that each section builds on the past. If you cannot get the basics you cannot proceed forward.

I have worked with both Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks for 25 plus years. I have used various versions and years of QuickBooks and understanding how the novice can get confused and lost in thinking it is "just like a checkbook."

I have an MBA with emphasis in Accounting. I am a licensed CPA (in Missouri). I have worked in both public and private accounting for the past 25 plus years. I have taught accounting in the past and understand how to approach a topic in several ways to help the student understand.

I have known people who have taken and failed an accounting class numerous times because they just don't understand and constantly struggle. Let me help you quit struggling, understand the topic and succeed in your class! Who knows you might even become an accounting major.

Patient, knowledgeable, and easy to work with

Ann and I have been working ahead through my Financial Accounting course together. She has been patient with my questions (no matter how basic the concept), and she clearly knows the subject matter. Ann has been a wonderful resource!

Highly Recommended Tutor!

I was struggling in financial accounting and Ann is one of the most patient tutors I have learned from. She was always open to using different styles of teaching so I was able to understand the material better. My only regret was that I didn't book an appointment with her earlier!

Competent and knowledgeable teacher

Ann tutored my daughter for her college accounting class over an entire semester . My daughter was struggling in her college class and had failed her second test. Once Ann started tutoring her, she immediately started to receive excellent grades and her understanding of the topics was solid. Thank you Ann for caring about my daughter and making sure she had a successful semester. Ann knows her subject, but also knows how to teach and make students understand. It’s so important to have someone who knows how to teach and make sure that the subject is understood thoroughly! I highly recommend Ann for any struggling student.

If you want someone who is Patient , Flexible, and brakes things down to laymen's terms Ann is your girl!

Ann helped me during my MBA Financial accounting course and each session she was patient and even when over time when needed. She helped me pick up the basic concepts of accounting and I probably will be earning a B or higher for the course. She was great to talk to and I recommend her to any new accounting student or for someone who wants a nice, smart, and patient tutor!

Great tutor for MBA Financial Accounting

I've started doing tutoring sessions with Ann every week for my MBA Financial Accounting class. She is always friendly, prepared to discuss whatever questions I've sent her before the session, and explains things in ways that are easy to understand. She helped me get an A on my midterm exam and I'm planning on continuing to work with her through the semester. Highly recommend!
