I tutor all levels of undergraduate college mathematics. I like to focus on calculus.

I love teaching students who really want to learn and have set a goal, but are either behind or are not connecting with their teachers. Math can be easy and fun when you understand the key concepts.

My teaching style is to ask my students focused on questions that cause them to think, and then determine the correct answers for themselves. I then like to show multiple ways to solve the same problem and how to verify the answer as being correct. This is the difference between a 'B' student and an 'A' student. I also believe in teaching how covered math concepts apply to our everyday lives.

I tutor my students remotely or from my Home office in McKinney, TX.

Excellent Calculus and Physics Tutor

After one school year of experience working with Harold T., we highly recommend him as a Calculus and Physics tutor. Our daughter's stress level went down and her grades went up. She now has one of the highest grades in her Physics class. Harold T. is excellent at making the Calculus and Physics concepts easier to understand by applying them to real life examples. Communicates well. Energetic. Makes learning fun. Very accommodating and responsive to our schedule requests/changes. We are grateful that we found Harold T. We have tried other tutors but he stands out because not only does he communicate and relate well, but he has a superior knowledge of the subject matter.

Knowledgeable and Amazing!

Harold has been teaching me materials for the CISSP and CISM Certification Exam. He has been an excellent resource for me in learning new materials and understanding the concepts, especially by breaking them down into smaller pieces that I can understand. He will test my knowledge to see how much I know and help fill in the gaps on anything I don't understand, which is an essential piece to grasping the whole concept. I recommend Harld 100% as he knows his materials in cybersecurity!

Review for Harold – Copilot for Excel Session

I took a 60-min Copilot for Excel course led by Harold, and he was excellent. The session was clear, hands-on, and he answered my long list of questions. He was knowledgeable, engaging, and kept the pace just right for a mixed-experience group. Highly recommend his training for anyone looking to get more out of Excel with AI.

SAT pre-Cal

My son had 10 lessons with Harold leading up to the SAT. My son really liked Harold’s style and got a lot out of the lessons. Harold repeatedly said that my son was engaged and really focused during the sessions so I really appreciated Harold’s ability to make the lessons into something that my son benefited from. We targeted mostly math in the preparation. His math score improved by 100 points between the October PSAT and the March SAT. We were very happy with the results. I will be bringing my younger son to Harold over the summer to prep for the PSAT in the fall. I would highly recommend Harold for SAT prep and math tutoring.

SAT pre-Cal

Ethan’s lesson with Harold went really well. He is feeling more confident about the math portion of the SAT already after one lesson! Getting a preview of what’s to come in the next semester of pre-Cal was super helpful, too. He’s looking forward to his next session with Harold and building on what he’s learned.

Knowledgeable and patient math and chem coach

Harold has helped with both math and chemistry. He finds new ways to connect the material so I can learn it, then challenges me to reinforce the lesson and material. This has been extremely helpful and has raised my confidence.

Best tutor ever!!!

It is difficult to find a word that justifies how amazing Harold is. I reached out to him last second desparetly searching for calculus 4 help. He replied within an hour and was happy to assist me for my exam! As someone who struggles with english due to it being my second language, it is very challenging for me to learn math. I did not feel that way with how Harold approaches teaching. He is very reliable most importantly, and very patient, will explain anything you do not understand as many times as needed. He has very helpful formula sheets that he will pull up if he finds it appropirate. Not working with Harold is like seeing a 100$ bill on the ground and walking past it. Thank you for always being there Harold!!!
