I am an Electrical Engineering student at the University of Texas at Dallas with a strong academic background in mathematics, engineering, and technical problem-solving. Before transferring to UTD, I earned an Associate of Science in Electrical Engineering from McLennan Community College, where I maintained a 3.696 GPA. My coursework includes Precalculus, Calculus I–III, Differential Equations, Discrete Mathematics, Physics, Circuits, Engineering Economics, and programming.

I also hold CompTIA Cloud+ and SolidWorks Associate certifications, which have strengthened my technical background and my ability to approach problems logically and systematically.

My tutoring experience has primarily involved helping fellow college students and peers understand challenging mathematics concepts, particularly in Discrete Mathematics. I have worked with topics such as logic, functions, modular arithmetic, proofs, combinatorics, recursion, and graph theory. My approach is to break complicated problems into smaller, understandable steps rather than simply giving a student the answer.

When tutoring, I like to first identify exactly where a student becomes confused. From there, I explain the concept using examples, diagrams, graphs, tables, or alternative ways of looking at the problem. I also emphasize understanding why a method works so that students can apply the same reasoning to unfamiliar problems on homework and exams.

As an engineering student who has worked through many of these courses recently myself, I understand how frustrating technical subjects can feel when a textbook or lecture explanation does not click. My goal is to provide a patient, supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and working through problems until the underlying concept makes sense.

I am especially comfortable helping high school and college students with mathematics and introductory engineering-related subjects, and I tailor each session to the student's current course, learning style, and goals.
